Event terms & Conditions

Breathwork is a powerful technique that combines a two-step breathing method with activating soundscapes to promote physical and spiritual transformation. It’s a simple, safe, and highly effective process that can lead to breakthroughs and optimal wellness. However, it’s important to note that this work is experiential and may involve intense physical, energetic, and emotional release. For this reason, individuals with a history of certain contraindications should consult their healthcare provider before participating in this work. These contraindications include cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, glaucoma, detached retina, kidney disease, severe asthma, osteoporosis, recent physical injuries or surgeries, severe mental illness (such as bipolar disorder or psychosis), seizure disorders, and aneurysms.

Pregnant women are advised not to participate in this work. However, if you’re pregnant and interested in learning some softer, safer practices, please reach out to the facilitator. Individuals with asthma should bring their inhaler and consult with their primary care physician and Breathwork facilitator before participating. Additionally, individuals with infectious or communicable diseases such as Coronavirus or flu-like symptoms are asked to avoid attending a live, in-person class due to the nature of group breathing.

If you’re interested in participating in Cacao ceremonies, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional first if you have hypertension (high blood pressure), chronic cardiovascular conditions, epilepsy, schizophrenia, or have had recent surgery under general anesthesia (within two weeks prior). Cacao contains monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), and ceremonial doses can contraindicate with certain anti-depressants. Cacao is not a compulsory component of this event. If you have any of the above conditions and still wish to participate, you’ll need to communicate with the facilitator beforehand, sign a waiver and release, and consult with a healthcare professional.

It’s important to inform the facilitator if you have any of the following: pregnancy, asthma, recent injuries or surgeries, major health issues, psychiatric disorders, high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, epilepsy, or allergies to food or nuts (if you’re doing Cacao ceremony).

These conditions don’t necessarily prevent you from attending the session, but it’s crucial that the facilitator is aware of any conditions for the time you’re under their care. They can fine-tune their work to benefit you, so you get the most out of the session safely.

During Breathwork sessions, the facilitator may conduct bodywork through physical touch. Additionally, there may be photographers and videographers present to document the event. Event and venue locations can sometimes change due to unforeseen circumstances.

By participating in Breathwork, you assume full responsibility for any damages that may occur. The facilitator does not diagnose illness or disease, prescribe medical treatment or pharmaceuticals, or substitute for therapy or medical care. It’s recommended that you work with your general practitioner for any condition you may have. By reading this, you agree to release and waive any claims you may have against the breathing facilitator.

Participating in Believe In Your Breath includes connected, circular breath, physical movement, therapeutic touch and bodywork, meditation, sound, and release of emotions. Conscious connected breathwork provides an opportunity to release chronic muscular tension and allow for the free flow of energy in the body. Ultimately, you alone are responsible for deciding whether to participate in Believe In Your Breath, and any participation is at your own risk.
